STD 12th Exam Update
As per the decision of the Chief Minister, this year's annual examinations of Std-12 Science and General Stream conducted by the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will be held on Thursday, July 1 in the usual manner. The high-level meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, took this important decision after detailed deliberations on holding Std-12 board exams in the special circumstances of the current Corona transition in the state. Addressing the media, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that discussions have been held with the Chief Minister regarding the standard 12 board examination. After which it has been decided that the board examination will be conducted by the existing method. The standard 12 science stream examination will start from July 1, 1 lakh 40 thousand students will appear for the examination.
Giving details in this regard, Minister of Education Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Minister of State for Education Vibhavari Dave said that a total of 6.83 lakh students from Std-12 Science stream and 5.43 students from General stream will appear in this examination.
He said that the Chief Minister had instructed the Education Department in this meeting to conduct the Std-1 board examinations which are important for shaping the future careers of the students of the state in these special circumstances of Koro transition with strict adherence to Kovid-12 protocol. The Minister of Education said that this examination will be conducted every year according to the established system of Science Stream Part-I with 50 marks Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) OMR method and Part-II Descriptive Written 50 Marks Examination will be held for 3 hours.
Similarly, in Std-12 general stream, according to the established system of every year, an 8-hour examination of descriptive written form of 100 marks will be conducted. Mr. Chudasama added that the education department will ensure that the students sitting for the exams maintain social distance, use masks compulsorily and also adhere to the transition control guideline of cores including sanitizers and thermal guns at the examination centers.
The Education Minister also said that the Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani had made a persuasive suggestion in this meeting that the entire examination system should be arranged with the concern that the transition of corona would not spread among the students as well as their future would not be ruined.
Accordingly, the Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani has also taken a student-friendly decision to increase the number of examination centers for the purpose of providing examination centers close to his school in this difficult time of Corona. For this purpose, the number of examination centers in the state will be increased this year. In which talukas sufficient number of students will be available and if there is no examination center in such taluka then examination center will be started there.
For both science stream and general stream examinations, arrangements will be made in each examination room for a maximum of 20 students to sit in the examination room. Will be equipped with a camera. In this high level meeting, keeping in view the future of the students, it has been decided that the students who have been absent due to corona transition or absent due to corona related or other unavoidable reasons during the examination After Rup Day, all the subjects will be re-examined based on new timetable and new question paper.
The Education Minister added that the examination for repeater students of Std. 10 will also be conducted in the same manner. In this high level meeting, Chief Secretary Shri Anil Mukeem, Chief Front Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri K. Kailasanathan, Principal Secretary of Education Mrs. Anju Sharma, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Ashwini Kumar, Secretary of Education Mr. Vinod Rao, Chairman of Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Mr. A. J. Shah was also present.
8.60 lakh will be passed and 7 lakh seats will be an admission problem.
Due to mass promotion, 8.60 lakh students will pass Std. 11 or later will qualify for admission to a vocational course. For these students Std. 11 has 5.50 lakh seats, while diploma and ITI has about 1.50 lakh seats. Thus a total of 7 lakh seats are available for admission. In this case 8.60 lakh will be passed so there may be an admission problem to get admission.
Mass promotion of students from 10,977 schools
in the state government will be 1276, 5325 Grant-in-aid, self-finance and other 45 schools in 4331 received a total of the mass promotion of students Regular (Regular) of the standard 10 10,977 schools.
